This plastic tray mounts on the shoulders and is held in place via a 35" (89 cm) strap which hangs in front of the user for them to hold. It can be used in any home sink, bathroom or kitchen, or with any shampoo basin. The 5" (13cm) wide curved neck rest provides a comfortable support. Water poured on the hair drains into the sink or basin. The tray is 17 3/4" (45cm) long x 13" (33cm) wide with 1 1/2" (4cm) high sides.
How to use
1.Position wheelchair (or chair) and client in front of sink with client’s back to the sink.
2.Place a towel around the client’s neck and shoulders.
3.Place tray strap over client’s head with tray behind head, placing neck opening around neck.
4.Place client’s forearm through strap and rest arm on abdomen to balance the tray on shoulders.
5.Make sure the end of the tray is far enough over the sink for the water to drain off the tray.
6.Wet hair and shampoo as usual. Rinse hair well, letting water flow down the tray into the sink.
7.Towel hair dry and remove tray from client’s shoulders.
Cleaning
1.Hand wash tray using warm water and mild soap, then rinse, towel dry and store as needed.
